Hello Dear One,
It’s good to see you.
I've been thinking about a persistent pattern I find myself in: feeling low, anxious or out of sorts and not knowing why. It’s these emotional states I find frightening, as there’s nothing I can pinpoint at the root, or that will help them shift. Confusing, right?
Writing, for me, is the antidote.
In my notebook, I see what comes up. There's probably not one thing making me happy – or sad – but lots of grey in between. Instead of being self-critical (why aren’t you happy?) there’s space for noticing. It leaves me less bewildered.
Lately, I also feel confused when it comes to forward planning and big decisions. It's hard not to second guess yourself, to wonder if you've thought everything through, to be fully behind something. So, I designed a little sequence to help me, and you, gain clarity. Game?
Persistent thoughts are often the least helpful; what creates confusion is that we become attached to them. Fear-based narratives exist to keep us safe, and when we’re doing something new or unknown shout loud. The key for me is working out how I feel, what is true and which step forward to take, even if it feels imperfect. Perhaps especially so.
Thanks for being here and being you.
All love,
Jo
IT’S WORKSHOP WEEK!
Join me on Thursday for ninety minutes of nurturing guided writing - all you need is a cosy, quiet space, notebook and pen. Book online right here.
And CALM month in ME
This April in my ME Membership we’re focusing on creating CALM in our lives - but this doesn’t mean you can’t have big feelings!
To me, finding calm happens when I can create space for my experiences first – every time I write I feel calmer afterwards - even if it’s been emotional. Whether you come for prompts and guidance, or simply nurturing space, there’s a space for you.
What you get in ME:-
Nurturing space twice a month just for YOU to write
Prompts to explore
Recorded rituals to support writing in pockets of time in busy lives
Access to the last two months workshops, prompts and rituals!
Nudge notes
