Hello Dear One,
How are you? I’m not feeling my best: physically or emotionally. This doesn’t mean my day won’t be joyous; or that by tea-time I can’t be dancing in the kitchen. Emotions are – like everything else in life – fleeting. However, I don’t rush myself out of them without getting curious.
Writing helps me dig in. When I journaled about my disappointments I realised that some of them weren’t even real things – instead, I was telling myself negative stories about what might happen (hello again anxiety) and those stories were draining. This happens more easily when I’m physically unwell, or feeling particularly vulnerable. Once I know what I’m telling myself it’s much easier to course correct and see things for what they are. My notebook gives me the space to work things out and a little time writing goes a long way.
I hope it helps, or that you go to the archive for something that fits your mood today. Remember you don’t have to feel, act or be a certain way all the time – feel how you feel and be kind to yourself.
Thanks for being here and being you. Wishing you a beautiful week.
All love,
Jo
