Hello Dear One,
How are you? I feel like I’m going a million miles a minute at the moment, so I need pockets of time to meditate, stretch and (most important for me) sleep.
I also see old patterns surface. It jangles me when I behave in a way I don’t like or become stuck in a negative loop. I assume I ‘should’ know better. And no, I’m not automatically kind to myself. Instead, my brain seems programmed to say ‘for heaven's sake Jo’. Not very compassionate is it?
Today’s letter is an invitation to soften your judgement, let yourself be messy and imperfect and be kind to yourself along the way. Remember to BREATHE.
I hope it helps.
One of my expectations is that I won’t put too much pressure on myself, yet I find myself doing it all the time. Self-compassion is a practise I constantly have to learn, why I’ve chosen it as the theme for the first month of my new membership. For many of us, it means unlearning bitter and critical narratives which have been with us for as long as we can remember. Sounds like something which takes patience and time, doesn’t it?
Thanks for being here and being you.
All love,
Jo
